One week to experience the charm of Jordan! Visit the modern bustling capital Amman and travel along the biblical King’s Way. Explore the fabulous rock city Petra, hike in the breathtaking Dana Reserve, and live romantic moments during the sunset in Wadi Rum. Have a magical dinner under the starry sky of the desert and enjoy your stay at the mysterious Dead Sea.
Upon your arrival at Amman Airport, our representative welcomes you with a sign board after passing through the customs. You will be transferred to Hammamat Ma’in hotel after 1.5 hours, check in, and spend the rest of the day.
On day 2, after having breakfast, we will drive to the capital Amman. We will head to the Citadel hill to see the remains from the Romans till the Islamic Period, followed by a visit to the Archaeological Museum and Roman Theater. Indulge yourself into the city’s culture as you walk along the bustling Souk and Rainbow Street. Finally, you will return back to your hotel and spend the rest of the day.
On day 3, we will drive to Mount Nebo, where Prophet Moses gazed at the Promised Land before he died. We will visit the old monastery, overlooking the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, Jericho, and Jerusalem. We will proceed to Madaba and visit St. George’s church to view the famous mosaic 6th-century map of Palestine. We will drive along the famous ancient caravan route, the King’s Way and then, we will have a short stop in Wadi Al-Mujib, a great wide valley with magnificent geological formation. Finally, we will visit the In Kerak Castle, the famous Crusader fortress built by King Baldwin I. of Jerusalem. We will continue to Petra hotel, check in and spend the night.
On day 4, after having breakfast, we will visit the Rose City Petra, the biggest attraction of Jordan. Petra was established around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs, a nomadic tribe, who settled in the area and foundation a commercial empire that extended into Syria. Along with the guide, we will pass the canyon, called Siq Entrance to see the most beautiful monument, the Treasury. We will explore the Street of Facades, the Royal Tombs, and Pharaoh’s Castle. After that, you will have free time to explore Petra on your own. In the afternoon, we will start our 1.5-hour drive to Wadi Rum desert, one of the most impressing desert landscapes in the world. Get a glimpse of this vast area with its sand dunes, rock inscriptions, mountains, and canyons during a jeep tour. After enjoying the magical sunset , you will be transferred back to your Petra hotel and spend the night.
On day 5, we will head to Dana Nature Reserve, Jordan’s largest reserve with a diverse flora and fauna. We will explore its mountains and wadis, enjoying the striking views. From the village, inhabited since more than 400 years by Bedouins, we will start a short hike for about 2 hours. After having a traditional lunch meal, we will proceed to the Dead Sea, check in at your hotel, and spend the rest of the day.
On day 6, you will have a free day at the Dead Sea. Like many visitors in the earlier times including King Herod and the Great Egyptian Queen Cleopatra, you will experience the features of this unique area. The Dead Sea Spot is characterized with high annual temperatures, low humidity and highest content of minerals and salts in the water. Chill on your back, Float on the salty waters, and use the skin-friendly mud. Then, enjoy the amenities of your hotel for the rest of the day and spend the night there.
On day 7, you will check out at 12:00 and then we will accompany you to Amman’s Queen Ahlia International Airport to catch your flight.
